The Essay
I used texts from Steven Johnson (Interface Culture), Shelley Turkle, Lev Manovich, and others to form an opinion on interfaces, and write a concept for an interface. My concept is an interface that controls the windows on the screen, and makes associations, and switches between windows over time.

One of my latest projects, a very dull robot, that tries to catch you, but isn’t near powerful enough to do anything. I kinda like it
So, I hacked the doorbells in my apartment block, so all the bells ring at the same time, every few days. The idea is that I never see my neighbours, and want to get them out of their houses and talk to each other. Here’s a little film I made with my phone, to show what happened. I was just in time for the show…
So, I toyed around with an arduino for a bit. The end result will be a robot, but for now it’s just LED’s and a computer fan.

This is the arduino turning a light on when there’s light, and off when there’s no light.
Now this is getting closer to what I need. I edited the code from the previous video, so that the LED would be on when there’s no light, and off when there IS light.
And this is basically what I need, a motor (in this case a computer fan) turning on when it doesn’t detect light.
To be continued…
